I'm a little disappointed in myself! I did so well Monday - Thursday last week and then let the weekend "blow" my efforts. I weighed in this morning and I gained 1.8 lbs. (of the 2.2 I lost last week). So, instead of losing 4 lbs. in September, I gained 1.4 lbs. I know, September is not "officially" over, but my next weigh in will be 10/2.
I wasn't even going to record or blog about the gain, but this is my method of accountability to myself, so who am "kidding" or "fooling"? I gained, so I need to record it and move on!
As I mentioned in previous blogs, my main concern is to stop the trend of gaining September - January. So, my weight loss goal for October will be to loose 4 lbs. and get back to goal! Since I gained this week, I need to loose 6 lbs. to get to the "wiggle" weight, but I'm ok with getting back to goal and maintaining through the holidays!
I didn't run on Monday. It was a really nice Fall day, but the grass needed cutting, so I spent about 2 hours cutting grass. My sister came by with my great nephew and we did take a walk, so I got in a little exercise. Most importantly, I got to spend a nice evening outside!
I made chicken stir fry for dinner, so I had a big helping of the vegetables and about a 1/4 cup of brown rice. I have to admit, I did also eat some frozen yogurt (a big portion!) later that evening.
Yesterday DD#2 had 2 "away" volleyball matches. It was region play again and they really should have beaten the first team. They lost both games (25-20 & 25-18). I think they were so disappointed that they blew leads in both those games, that they were really "off" the second match.
They lost both of those games (25-18, 25-12). The second game of the match was really bad. If there was a "Bad News Bears" volleyball team, that would have been DD#2's team last night! Anything and everything that could have gone wrong went wrong to them in that game! I'm surprised they scored 12 points.
DD#2 really likes this coach (this is his first year at this high school), but he just doesn't seem to be much of a "motivator". They are a very young team - they currently have 1 Senior, 3 Juniors, 6 Sophomores (2 injured) and 1 Freshman. The 2 injuries really hurt because they played the same position and he had to bring up the Freshman and move people around, but they just seem to have bad games and no "fire".
Anyway, DH, my dad, my 2 sisters, my niece and great nephew all came to the game (DD#2 had a big cheering section, too bad there wasn't much to cheer about!). So we decided to go out to eat after the matches (except for DH). I did forgo the gourmet hamburger & French fries at Red Robin and had a salad (and no snacking when I got home!).
It's raining this morning, but I'm hoping I can get in a run after work.
I'm disappointed, but I just have to work harder to loose this weight!
