Weight loss and stress eating

I can't believe I've lost 10 pounds!
I was thinking about what I've done differently. I eat smaller portions. I eat more protein. I've cut out gluten (for health reasons).
But overall, my mindset has changed. The past couple weeks have been pretty stressful, with a couple days/events being really bad. In the past, I would most likely stress eat. "Treat" myself to some ice-cream or chocolate...but end up eating way too much because of the stress monster. Well, I did stress eat a couple times last week, but it was different. Instead of reaching for ice cream, for example, I ate a giant bowl of green peppers that I had cut up earlier this week. Or I had a small apple from the farmer's market - and then I had one more.
I also noticed that in both instances I stopped myself after the bowl was done, or the second apple. It was like my mind said "Okay, this is enough." I didn't eat until I had a stomachache. This is a pretty big change for me. And a good one, because I'm looking at a solid three more months of stress! haha
Anyhow, yay 10 pounds gone!
