Be still & just breathe!

I'm still feeling a bit under the weather. I have a bit of an annoying cold. Not bad enough to stay home from work, but just enough to make getting up at 3:30 a.m. a pain in the tush.
Yesterday was a super long day for me. I am the worship leader at my church & I had a worship teleconference last night after work, dinner & cardio. Full day! The call lasted about 1/2 an hour longer than I anticipated, so I was rushing around getting my evening chores done so I could go to sleep.
In all the rush, I didn't take my "me" time yesterday. I didn't get to just be still & breathe for a bit. For me, that can come in a few forms: reading a good book, listening to some of my favorite music , or just being still & breathing. I have found that that time is so precious to my sense of well-being. It helps me relax & put away the cares of my day so that I can rest well. Thankfully, I still slept pretty well. Yay!!
