Day 14: Weigh in

So, it wasn't the very best of weeks. In addition to the binge on Saturday night, I've eaten out for one meal Sunday, Monday and yesterday.

It's a lot of processed foods. And my body despises processed foods.

So I was both happy and sad to see a .2 loss this week.

Happy because it wasn't a gain.

Sad because it could have been a real loss.

I suppose I didn't believe that I could lose so hopefully this will motivate me to keep better track of my food intake and make better choices.

I've decided to track just my carbs this week. I'm not cutting them- just figuring out how many I eat. Then over the next several weeks, I'll cut 50 grams from that range, 250-300 to 200-250 etc and see what that does to my energy levels (better when low) and milk supply (better when high).

I've never heard of anyone gain weight AFTER baby but not through pregnancy. Ugh. I can' help but feel like a failure at life! *end dramatic outburst*

    Oh girl, I get it. I had a friend lose weight through her entire pregnancy (she was overweight to begin with) because she was so conscientious about what she was eating. She gained back the weight after the baby was born.

I can't claim baby weight any more. My baby is 8 years old. {:^D

We just pick back up and start again. You can do it!

    LOL @ dramatic! You definitely aren't a failure, you are a beautiful, strong woman who is raising a family! :D I am glad that you had a loss because it shows OVERALL you are doing better and have ended the cycle of gaining. You will just continue to grow stronger in your healthy ways and the scale will continue to go down. You not only know how to do this once you get rolling, and you even know how to do it better than I do, so keep up the good work, you will get back to your healthy "old self" in no time. :)
