I got up this morning at 5:30 in order to be at the gym for a 6am yoga class. I get 8-9 hours of sleep each night and I usually wake up around 6:45 or 7am. So 5:30 was a real SACRIFICE.
I didn't mind the class and even felt energized while walking back home. But by 10am, I was DRAGGING. I was so tired!! I worked from home today and so was able to lay down for a little bit. (Just don't tell my boss!) I ate a piece of a cookie before lunch, hoping that the sugar would help to perk me up. I felt justified in eating that cookie, rationalizing that I had made a sacrifice for my health this morning by getting up early.
How ridiculous, right?! At least I can call myself out on my bullsh!t.
I don't think getting up early for the gym is really in my best interest! I'll see you all at the gym AFTER work!
