It's been like two weeks!

Yup - I havent blogged in like 2 weeks. Ridiculous. But its been a bit off-schedule lately. Two weeks ago, I ended up getting really sick with either a bad head cold or the flu. It hit me suddenly on Tuesday afternoon while I was in a meeting, and knocked me out fora few days. I missed dance class both nights that week, and even stayed home from work for 2 days - and I rarely ever stay home sick from work! I would have stayed home a third day, but I had to catch up on some work before going out of town for a week. Because last Sunday I went to South Dakota for work. I had a court-martial to attend with one of my clients. It was a rough week, honestly. That case is so difficult for me, but its over. And they found the guy guilty. So it was worth it. That's really a good summary of my last week and a half I suppose.
I got back to town on Friday afternoon, took a nap, and then Jasin brought my dog over and he and I went out to dinner. Saturday I slept in because I really hadnt slept well - after affect of being out of town for a week - and then I did some brief shopping (got a new jacket!) before we headed out to his friends' house for dinner. Then Sunday, I woke up early to go for a run, and I made it a whole .15 miles before stopping because my knee was hurting! ugh. It was the same pulling out of the joint pain I felt 2 years ago, so I immediately stopped. I've been neglecting strength training and foam rolling, so I need to get on top of that. In fact, yesterday I did a gym ST workout and my knee feels a bit better already. Just gotta strengthen those muscles. Not sure what this means for my 15k I am supposed to run on the 6th of October, but if I have to miss it, its ok. I just dont want my knee to get worse!
In other news - before I went out of town, I finally got in to see my PCM about my constant fatigue and my stomach troubles. I got a referral to a GI specialist - finally - and am going on October 9th. Meanwhile, I had a bunch of blood tests done to determine what is causing my fatigue. I finally got all of my blood test results back this morning (we can check them online!) and it turns out my Vitamin D is low and my Iron saturation levels are low. Since I track lots of nutrients on SP on top of my fat/carbs/protein/cals, the Vitamin D low level doesnt surprise me - but the Iron does. I went back and checked and I am getting the recommended levels of iron almost everyday :/ So I am going to have to discuss with my doctor, and probably with the GI specialist because it could be that my body is not absorbing the iron properly. I am trying not to get too worried right now. Low levels of iron make sense for my fatigue, so I just really want to solve the problem!
Anyway, I thought I would write more but, surprise, I'm tired. I have dance class tonight so I am looking forward to that. Otherwise, just trying to catch up on all of my work right now after being out for about a week and a half essentially.
