More on the cats

Tuesday, September 24, 2013

I have the two cats eating on my front porch now. They have successfully moved to my house for meals although for now they still relax next door. The new neighbor has not yet moved in, so we will see how that goes when she does. They are still not friendly, but at least they don't run and hide every time they see me. The younger one will eat from my hand when she is hungry enough, but they are feral and very skittish.

It sounds like you are making progress. After all this time I don't think they will move on to another location. When the neighbor moves in if she is nice to the cats they may still go to that porch to sun themselves but they do learn where the food is. If she is not nice and scares them with the hose or yelling at them it may undo all your hard work or hopefully they will just stay at your place. emoticon

That is great! Good for you! I hope the neighbor doesn't mind. But, if they spray, that could be a problem...nothing worse than cats spraying on things-stinky!!!
    Good luck! emoticon
