My Dr is pretty positive that I have lupus

Tuesday, September 24, 2013

I cannot catch a break. I went in for lab work last week and yesterday one of my pharmacies called and said then had a prescription ready for me. I thought it was for some backordered migraine medication but when I got there they pulled out a big bottle of pills. I was totally confused so I decided to see who prescribed them, it was my rheumatologist who had ordered all the lab tests. And I had no clue why I was prescribed medication because no one had called me and told me what was going on!

Long story short I called the office today and one of the nurses said that after reviewing my test results the doctor was strongly leaning toward a diagnosis of lupus and I was on medication for lupus because it can cause a cardiovascular event and this should keep it from happening.

Well, the good news is that at least I know why I'm exhausted all the time, why my joints hurt like hell, and a bunch of other things. Tomorrow I'm going to the doctor to have the labs explained to me, among other things. I'm a little nervous emoticon Wish me luck! because apparently I have none emoticon

I'm so sorry concerning the diagnosis you received. You're doing the right thing, going in and getting and explanation of EVERYTHING, straight from the HORSES MOUTH!!! That's the only way you can get to the truth of the matter, sometimes. Just take the advice of your posted banner at the end of your blog. Everything is in divine order!!

Be blessed,

I'm sorry to hear your bad news of having Lupus. Don't you just love it when the doctor forgets to let you know what's going on with your health? One of my doctors told me he had some bad news, but, he didn't want to say anything until he talked to the doctor that had referred me to him...WHAT??? That was back on May 8th and I still haven't heard anything back for him. I'm still waiting for my CT scan that was supposed to have been done on June 6th. Haven't heard anything more on that either. How do they expect us to take care of our health when they don't share the information they have ON us WITH us???

Hope you start feeling better soon. emoticon
