Yesterday, after I took the puppies for a walk, I spent the whole afternoon cleaning. It took me about 5-6 hours, but I wiped down every door in the house, mopped floors, wiped the kitchen cabinets and counters, cleaned two bathrooms, wiped window sills, vacuumed, dusted the wood floors, did 3 loads of laundry, changed the sheets on the bed, polished the glass topped stove and polished the stainless steel sink. I had to take a second shower because I was soaked with sweat. The house sparkled when I finished! I took a quick trip to the store, then I cooked dinner and cleaned up afterwards. Hubby helped me fold some of the clean clothes and put them away but he wasn't feeling very well. I'll have to give him an A for effort.
When I tracked my walk and heavy cleaning, the tracker said that I burned 2700 calories which seemed excessive to me. I dropped it down 300 calories, but 2400 calories still seems high. By the time I finished the dinner dishes, every muscle and joint in my body was screaming so I know I had serious calorie burn. My ActiveLink tracker for Weight Watchers said that I earned 5 activity points. I'm thinking that that is a more accurate measure of my actual burn. I will go back to my Spark exercise tracker and reduce the hours again to bring it in line with my ActiveLink. Still, I know that I burned some serious calories. I slept like a rock last night!
P.S. I reduced my calorie burn on the tracker to 1700 calories. I think that is more accurate!
