You don't have to be perfect to succeed!! That's a lesson that's been very hard for me to learn, especially in regards to eating. But I'm learning.
I used to just give up because I couldn't be perfect. Now I do the best I can, stop the unplanned eating very quickly, and right away get back on plan: drink some water, plan meals, do a workout, just recommit.
Even though I took a few unplanned bites last evening, I'm feeling pretty good. Recently I've had many, many days of sticking to my eating plan. I will again today. And whether I ever get to the point where every bite is a good choice, planned and enjoyed, I am feeling pretty confident that I will never give up again.
