Think Positive!

Monday, September 23, 2013

My DD tells me that if you are going to a job interview you should either sit or stand in an authoritative position before going into the interview. You will be more likely to get the job.

I don't know about that... and boy I'm so grateful I am not looking for a job right now.... but I do think our minds are powerful. I don't know what happens in our brains, but I imagine that thoughts take different routes depending on our attitude.

I'm picturing deciding to go to the gym with the attitude of "I really don't feel like it and I'm so lazy and fat today" and can imagine how easily I would be distracted from getting to my destination. Any fast food place sign would do it I'm sure. Now I'm picturing me, as "Super J" deciding to go to the gym with the attitude of "I'm a lean, beautiful person and this is going to make me feel great" and how focused I would be on getting to the gym instead of getting sidetracked.

As a visual person today I choose to think of my amazing body and get excited about how I can treat it to healthy foods and activity today. I have super powers to help me. I'm going to try and figure out ways I can stand or sit that make me feel more powerful and grateful for what I am able to do.

I can! I will! I'm worth it!

Hehehe, here is me in my dancing around the fire mode with walking stick. Definitely a positive affirmative body positition!

Poitive thoughts lead to POSITIVE ACTIONS and outcomes. It is the only way to go because we all know the opposite.

You look more like the Super J that you described than you realize!!
It takes a lot to get motivated but once there, you feel so good at having made the effort!!

I think you are definitely on to something here! The self talk we use can defeat us before we even get started! You GO Girl! emoticon
