My random acts of kindness with my shawls

Sunday, September 22, 2013

I had planned to post a picture of the next shawl but it is still on the needles. Honestly never thought there were going to be that many increases at the end of the pattern, Have about 8 more rows to go and hopefully will get them done this evening

Whenever I post the picture I get so many wonderful comments on my work that unless the shawl is already promised to something special I like to give them away

When I joined SP, two shawls went to two wonderful ladies on a team I am no longer on. Another shawl went to another member, who is still around. Two weeks ago, my last shawl went to one member as a surprise as is going through a very hard time hard right now and needed comforting and I am so blessed it is giving her comfort.

Another shawl is going out to a very special lady tomrrow and she has no idea that it is coming. Luckily she does not read my blogs but she has been going through an extremely rough time for the last few years and I just wanted to give her some hugs and comfort

So ladies, there are several of you, if I ask you off the last for you address to send you a shawl, please know it is because you truly have a special place in my heart and take it as a special gift from me for the love and support you always give me

And please do not be bashful, if you see a picture of a shawl I have posted, as long as I have not give it away already and you would like it, please ask. that is truly special to me

You are a special lady to give so freely. I wish you knew a couple of my patients who have lost children - the one had 2 adult children die in less than a year and is having trouble dealing with it and the other who has buried 2 adult children has learned that a 3rd has cancer.

I do loom knitting, but I must be nowhere as fast as you are. I made one shawl and it took what felt like forever. I am truly impressed.
