Gratitude to the Spark Community

Sunday, September 22, 2013

“Encourage, lift and strengthen one another. For the positive energy spread to one will be felt by us all. For we are connected, one and all.” ― Deborah Day

Dear Spark Community,

I just want to tell you that I'm incredibly touched and deeply moved by the outpouring of support and kindness you have shown me, not only now after my husband passed, but through the entire journey.

You are all such kind, empathetic, and selfless people. Thank you for the messages, the kind advice, the concern, the prayers, the caring.

Thank you for reaching out, checking in, and making me feel so supported.

With lots of love and gratitude,

Julie

“At times, we are the bridge that allows another to re-enter the world after a loss. Don't mistake it for more or its beauty may be lost.” ― Danielle Pierre

That quote is very mysterious. My first child died when I was 22.

Julie, I am so so sorry for your loss. My heart is with you and your daughter and I am sending strength and love. So sorry I missed this last month, it was a rough one for me but clearly not as difficult as for you. I feel for you and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

With love,
Kristin

Julie, you continue to be in everyone's thoughts here. God bless you and Sasha as you walk this new and difficult road. We know you will continue to do so with courage, strength, and wisdom, because that's who you are. Be gentle with yourself, too.

    Julie,

I speak for myself, and I know that I speak for many others when I say that we truly care about you and your daughter.

When my father was suffering from Alzheimer's, I think I got more support from people on this site than I would have from any support group targeted toward elder care or Alzheimer's. When he finally passed away, I heard from many great people (some for the first time).

The people behind Sparkpeople (members in this case) are the best.
