hey guys. im back.
so after much research and talking to a few coworkers, all of whom are 40lbs lighter, i decided to try a low carb diet. it is carbs i know for a fact that are my problem with loosing weight. so, did some research, talked to them about what they did, and decided to try the atkins approach. the reason i picked it is because i like the structure of its 4 phases. beginning with induction, it helps you flush your body of all the bs thats already in it, then slowly re introduces carbs back into your diet, step by step, to assess your tolerance for them. eventually in the last phase, you have a set number of carbs you know you can eat from grains, seeds, fruits, veggies, legumes etc, but still very low carb and very balanced.
so, as of today i have been in the induction phase for one week, and 7lbs down, so from 175 to 168. i expect it to slow down dramatically since that was just excess carbs and water leaving my body, but i drink a minimum of 72oz of water a day, so not too worried about water lose. i am really hoping to reach my goal by the end of this year, especially with they running and exercising i do throughout the week. anyhoo, just a quick update. i gots to go, getting ready for work.
