BLC23 My Goals.

For the first two weeks of this round I知 away on holiday, so I知 splitting my goals into the first two weeks, and the remaining ten.

Part one, holiday.

I intend to:

Enjoy myself.

Eat and drink whatever I like, but stop when I知 full.

Not show by word or deed that I知 trying to lose weight.

Not spoil anyone else痴 enjoyment of their food or drink. (my mother dieted continually, and watched what everybody else put in their mouths like a hawk. She would make comments too, and ruin whatever you were enjoying)

Exercise whenever I can, especially taking stairs rather than elevators.

Not stress about putting on a few pounds, they will come off when I知 back to normal.

Part two, home again.

I intend to:

Go back to Alternate Day Fasting as soon as it痴 possible.

Continue my present exercise regime. Gym classes 4 mornings a week, 39 steps, on 2 mornings plus one evening at home, swim two mornings, karate on 2 evenings.

Keep on top of my paperwork, and don稚 put things off for weeks.

Take control and responsibility for the structure of my life.

Put things away and tidy up before going to bed.

Continue to cook for myself on my non fast days, from scratch, and use as few processed foods as I can.

Remember that I need rest too. I must not feel guilt for not exercising if I知 not well.

  Sounds like a good plan! I hope you enjoy your holiday. Do you fast totally, or allow, say, juice? I used to fast totally one day every two weeks, and I always felt it was good for me, though I didn't really lose weight while doing it.

    Glad you are getting a vacation. I agree it is a good time to lighten up and just be wise. Have fun. Do miss your walks.

    Great goals! I am going on a cruise in about a month, and I also intend to NOT stress about every bite or monitor my friend's intake! I'll enjoy healthy food, keep up the exercise, and have a good time!

    This sounds like a great plan!! I can't lie, I'm curious to see what the results are after the first 2 weeks, where you go by how you feel and how full you are. I know this has worked well with other spark friends so am looking forward to your results. Definitely have fun!!!

    Sounds like you have it under control and I like the idea of enjoying your vacay without guilt. I smiled at your comment about matter what my Mom was served, big, huge, teeny, really small her comment would always be the same, "oh my, that's way too much, I'll never be able to eat all that food!" Of course I would have the same amount or perhaps more and my response was, "eat what you want Mom, but I'm going to eat every bit on my plate and maybe I'll have seconds!!!"

    Superb, Evelyn, as you always are! My mother was EXACTLY the same way. And I was a rebel. Hence... a big part of my problem. My father was even worse. Blech! Both wonderful people, but...

Wait - ALTERNATE day fasting? I thought it was the 5:2 - that sounds a bit over-the-top - or did you mean your current plan?

I'm also finding the exercise balance. I may need to fine tune my exercise goals. They're my bugaboo - LOVE exercise, but sometimes finding the time is a challenge. Sigh.
