Any Birthday that I'm on this side of the dirt, is a good one~

I'm sitting here watching Georgia vs N. Texas game and reflecting over my Birthday yesterday.
The original plans for dinner with an ole HS friend fell through late yesterday afternoon. My friend texted me to let me know she wasn't feeling well and would have to bail on our plans to meet for dinner. Several others had asked to me do something with them earlier in the week, but since I had already accepted my friend's invitation to dine with her, I arranged to do things with my other friends/family on Saturday or Sunday. so, I decided I was just going to go home after work and have a quite night alone.
A guy friend that I've been talking to (but hadn't met yet) texted me to find out where I wanted to have dinner Sunday night. He asked about my plans to meet my girl friend for dinner and when I informed him those plans had fallen through, and I was just going home, he said, "Oh no you're not spending your birthday alone"... He said, "We're having dinner tonight!" So we did.
He was a very interesting, energetic and funny guy and we had a really good time talking, laughing over dinner. We closed the restaurant down around midnight. Even though I had a good time, he would make a better friend for me. If I had to describe his personality, it would be like driving a sports car at 100 mph, drinking a red bull (large), texting and singing all at the same time. He wore me out just trying to keep up with his train of thought! He is very intelligent, talented (is a photographer), half French, speaks several languages and is a very interesting man, he just isn't for me.
I had a great Birthday, so many friends called, texted, FB messaged from many corners of the earth and they all made me feel special on my birthday. So thanks to all of you that sent me birthday wishes, it warmed my heart and soul and made me realize just how blessed I truly am. It was a great birthday~
