Another busy one

Slept in and had a bubble bath...and bathed Buddy too... You should have seen me try to get dressed, have lunch and get to library in 20 min.... for the Senior Cafe with Heart and STroke Walkabout program where I got nominated to start a program at the library... and heard about a group that does a WATP program on Mon. evening and Fri am.

Buddy and I got our 2 hr. walk, and met a new friend... a beautiful 3 y.o. Husky... they played together till Buddy escaped his collar and gave me a bit too much excitement... anyway, all turned out well.

Then tonite, I had my neighbor over and we prepped for chow... she gets the Fastest Onion Peeler award. I think she must be close to the fastest worked I ever saw, and as much as she wanted to help, I think I was a bit taken aback, and wanted to save some to do myself... Anyway, got the cukes I bought yesterday made up into Mustard Pickles with all that extra sauce I made the other nite...and tomorrow we will cook up the chow...She thanked me for some adult company and conversation... she works at jr. high and has 2 teens!!!

So dishes are all done, oh yeah, I cooked the last of my beets, but only to eat the beets raw... neighbor wants to make beets, so I told her the trick with the pressure cooker, but she's afraid of them, so that will be my way to pay her back for helping me, along with some bottles for herself...

but, almost midnite, must get off to bed... nite all, thank you to everyone who encourages me and I hope I don't bore you and in some way encourage or inspire you..

Does anyone else think maybe it is possible I might not be eating enough and that could be why, with all the exercise I do, that I am not losing?

    I've had people tell me that I often don't eat enough, so I guess there's something to it. It doesn't seem like you're getting enough rest which could also hinder you weight loss. Get some more sleep! Sometimes just reading your blogs makes me tired. And I thought I get busy.

    I've been listening to the "Half Size Me" audio blogs and Heather is definitely an "Eat More to Lose More" proponent. It is scary and sometimes the scale goes up a bit but to reset the metabolism and let your body know that you are going to feed it, sometimes a few more calories helps. Some people "cycle" their calories. The bottom line is you have to find out what works for you.

    I love reading your blogs. You definitely inspire!

    there could be several reasons why you are not dropping weight. Stress can be the culprit with some people especially diabetics...mysteriously makes their blood sugars run higher than usual. Could be not eating enough or even eating enough calories but too much of the calories are fat and carb choices, that makes a difference as well.

    Foods away from home tend to be higher in fat, carbs and salt, all of which can put the kibosh into a diet plan if eaten often. Are you tracking your foods? Not tracking can let you slip in a few extra calories here and there as well.

    Could be and then again, I am not a great lover of the scale....have you noticed a change in your clothes? I could tell in my slacks and EVEN IN MY SHOES!!!!!

    You never bore me..I always like hearing about your days!

    You know I lost weight when I had the surgery and couldn't exercise. I think that I was eating more too.

    Try eating more for a week and see what is only a week!
