Goals Met!

Friday, September 20, 2013

I am still here and working on losing weight. My sister developed complications after her gastric sleeve bypass surgery, so I ended up spending a lot of time in Dallas. She is doing well now and is down 47 pounds.

I have not done as well as I would like with weight loss but I have met a couple of my goals this month. I had a goal of 277 pounds by Labor Day and have met that goal. I also have a pair of "goal jeans" that I have been working toward wearing again, but being able to squeeze into them was not acceptable (I could have worn them weeks ago with that goal), but rather, they had to fit perfectly. With the two pounds I have lost this week I have made that goal. I put them on after work today and they fit perfectly. It is a good feeling. I was patient and stuck with my goal until those jeans fit the way I wanted them to. I have not been able to wear these jeans in years....literally. I am so glad that I held on to them because they have a lot of wear left in them and I am the one that is going to be wearing them!

I am down to 275 pounds and it is time to closet shop for a new pair of "goal jeans."

Goals are useless unless they're doable. Glad to see you met a realistic goal! And I think the pants fitting is an even better sign of progress than the number on the scale.
