Heat wave again!

Friday, September 20, 2013

So true to Michigan, now the weather is back to summer:100% humidity and rain, cloudy overcast skies, and hot. I just woke up from my little four hour nap in my recliner. DD woke me up and I thought it was Saturday morning! Now I feel groggy, but could lie down for another eight hours, I am sure.
Did fairly well on intake today,, Cheerios are my go-to.. every morning for my 4 A.M. meal before work, then sugar free oatmeal at work with low carb yogurt and an apple and string cheese, water.
On our Spark travels we took Aldebarian to Kern's Sausage Haus in Frankenmuth,Mi. I bought a small package of homemade Bruanschweiger. It has pistachios in it!! I have never had homemade before, this not like what is sold in grocery stores,,it is made right there in the store.. I am used to liver sausage, which they also make, but this has no liver in it, just pork and the nuts and their secret spices.. It tastes like salt free ham with pistachios in it! I had it on salt free soda crackers with creamy horseradish.
Lots of water.. over 80 oz.

Time to move around..

emoticon Hi LINDA where did your friend live that was within an hour of me.
Our middle son will soon be living across the lake from you, I know it is a very big lake but he hopes to live in Sheboygan very soon and looking at the map I think it looks across the lake to where you are.
Have you ever eaten Black pudding it is called blood sausage in the US I like it but I like my English name much better. I never knew what it was made of but I loved the taste of it with Eggs, bacon and bangers.
Sounds like you have some really good food. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon

You are doing great! Yes, the hot humid weather hit here too...but I don't think it is going to last! Have a great weekend, we are going up to the bridge again and Rogers City where we hunt...I love those woods! So peaceful.

Have a GREAT weekend!

We're having the same gross weather here in Ohio, too. Yuck. I never knew Michigan was such a sausage-oriented place. Or maybe it's just where you live?

Hope your weekend is getting started off right!
