The Real MN Renn Fest

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry! Work and home life got crazy so I posted nothing from the renn fest.
First up, after getting a cup of draft cider was Snot & Puke!
Under the cartoon characters it says "Not so much an act as a cry for help!" The pre-show was Monkey Boy, a solo act. We had seen him years ago as part of a duo, Yo and Ho; singing pirate songs of course!
We liked him so much, again, we bought a CD.
Then it was off to see Alice the Cook. She wrote a column in Renaissance Magazine but is taking a break for the time being. I did not get a picture of the first (or second) time we were at her presentations. The first was spices and teas. They made a fabulous smelling curry blend, toasting and grinding the spices. The second presentation was shortbread and scones. The fun thing while we were at her presentations was seeing, out of the corner of my eye, this:
My picture is later in the day when he was back in the Como Park area. The theme for the weekend was Highland Fling so he had his Kilt on. I really thought it would be rude to run out of the area to get a tortoise photo! That also lead to these two:
The little baskets were for donations to the zoo. Lots of fun.
We went through 5 bottles of water, one large ice coffee (ice for our water), one draft cider and one mead. It was over 90 degrees; getting back to the car to head home with air conditioning was very welcome.
The interesting thing was that in a cumulative three hours of walking I had only 10 minutes of aerobic walking that day!
