I just realized its been 20 days since I came back into the old healthy lifestyle routine. I am really amazed at how easy it has been. I never feel deprived or like I can't have enough food that I want. Back when I started this process over 6 years ago I remember feeling the deprivation and frustration with not feeling full when I ate. I learned to not eat to feel full but to eat to not feel hungry anymore. That is one lifestyle change that stuck with me even after I stopped eating the healthy foods and dropped off on the exercise. That must be what prevented me from gaining even more weight than I did especially since the darn menopause has probably done its part to increase the fatigue and decrease metabolism!
I am a little bit frustrated that I lost soooo much strength in the past 3 years though. I'm not sure what's up with that b/c I never entirely quit working out for this entire time. I did try to maintain a higher activity level. And I did have spurts of doing the weight training but it just caused what I felt was an unusual amount of pain so it was hard to stick with it.
I have had to start back at "ground zero" to avoid the "whole body" pain I would feel. So far so good. At the beginning of this week the dumbbell weight increased 2 lbs with only what I consider normal growing pains. Its still tough to do both the weight training and cardio on the same day but it does seem to be getting easier and I am feeling better for it too I think. But it sure is weird to be burning only 800 calories a week rather than the 3000 I used to do regularly! But I think I'll get back there, at least to visit sometimes ;-) LOL

Awesome! Eating healthy foods all day really does keep me full for longer too! I never feel deprived either & my body feels so much better when I fuel it well! I could never imagine going back to my old way of eating! Go You for making such great progress!
