The company I work for has just started a "Lose 2 Win" 12 week weight loss challenge. First ever for us!
I was very excited to hear of this! It seemed to be just what I needed to get up and get moving again after my knee surgery which had left me less than motivated.
What's the catch ? This isn't a solo event. You HAVE to be teamed up with 3 other people and the teams that lose the highest % of Body Fat win 1st,2nd and 3rd place prizes. VERY nice prizes too I might add.
1st prize is a $300 gift card and a polar f7 heart rate monitor for ea team member.
2nd is a $200 gift card each and 3rd prize is $100 gift card ea. Not bad I thought. I'm totally IN!
I really think we have a shot at winning this but relying on others is not my forte.
In order to even qualify for prizes every team member has to officially weigh in monthly. If anyone misses the weigh in, it will negatively affect the rest of us.
One person on the team already seems to be having second thoughts based on comments made and we're not even 1 week into this!
Once you sign on the dotted line you're in and we're stuck together.
I am the team lead and looking for anyone who has done this before with their office or company. How did it go? What was done to keep you all working together? Did your team win ? Did you plan fitness together on your off time? Doubters?
This challenge runs from now until mid December so there is plenty of time for suggestions.
I did give them the SparkPeople website for tools, tips and tracking and all the other great things this site offers. That's about all I could think of for now.
I really need ideas about keeping everyone motivated and moving towards our common goal.
