Giving myself a day off

Thursday, September 19, 2013

Ever have one of those days where you just do not feel like tracking? I am having one of those days. Hereby declaring this a day off.

So, so tired today. Had a migraine last night that kept me up until 2am before Benadryl finally did the trick. Hormonal fun! I got up early, got some work done, then did go to the gym, and it was a tough day there. Lots of reps. I skipped cardio (first time in 6 days) and came home. Think the world is going to have to get by without me for the rest of the day.

ETA: Oh my god, that definitely did not end up being any kind of day off. The rest of the day was, in fact, a bit of a nightmare. 9:00 and I still haven't eaten dinner, and I might be too tired to bother. Is it the weekend yet?

We all need a day off once in a while.

It's also good to give yourself a day off from working out, on a weekly basis, to help your body recover. (I'm in the habit of taking 2 days off working out).

Taking a break is good. I'm off today as we had friends visiting and they left today. Went to the Dentist for cleaning, and with sore gums some wine did the trick, but I will be back at it tomorrow for a good on program day and tracking.
