Celebrate your victories!

Instead of tearing myself down for the things I'm not doing, I've started to work on celebrating the things I am doing to improve my health! I think it's a more inspiring approach to making longer lasting changes.

Today I walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Not earth shattering, but a great victory since I haven't gotten much exercise in the last couple of days. I decided that if the weather isn't going to cooperate, well then it was time to do something inside for a change.

My food tracking and calorie counts haven't been the greatest the last few days, but they could have been a lot worse. I'm doing much better in making sure there aren't horrible temptations hanging around to lure me off into a dark alley.

Today I also have my meal plan set up and good healthy food in the fridge. It's so much easier to just follow a plan than to try to figure it out on the go. With good tasting and healthy food waiting, it's much easier to take the time it takes to make it - instead of taking the easy way out with something fast but unhealthy.
