All goals in moderation
Thursday, September 19, 2013
I've been working on two things lately that make me feel more motivated, more positive, and more successful.
#1. Making more moderate kinds of goals. I read a SP blog on what makes you lose motivation that really hit it's target. I had been making goals that basically meant, "I will be perfect." For instance, one of my goals was to track my calories every day for 365 days. When I messed up, I needed to start over again from day 1. Looking back, no wonder I was feeling defeated! When I wasn't perfect, I'd get frustrated and feel failure.
No more of that....
#2. Making goals that INCLUDE foods. It's positive to focus on what to get rather than focusing on what to cut out, and I feel like I am taking care of myself when I set goals to get over 3 cups of veggies and more fruits. I'm focusing on what my body needs and should have.
2 lbs lost this week with just these moderate, positive goals. I feel like keeping it up. =) YAY!
