How Could I Do This To Myself

I have been saying for months "make no foods into "No Foods" and yet I did it again. I started a streak to have no sugar or white flour. Of course that is all I think about and have been binging on it for two days. For me saying I can't have it just doesn't work.

Having every thing in moderation is what works for me. I must be doing some thing right I have lost 37 pounds. That is over half of what I need to lose. So I am doing some thing right, but telling myself I can't have some thing is not working for me.

Now that I have said I can have a sweet if I want has taken away the over powering craving for it. I don't even want it but knowing that I can have it if I want works so much better for me. We all have to try and learn what works for each of us. Making foods in to "No Foods " dose not work for me.

    Thanks for the tip. I usually tell myself that I only have to walk 20 to 30 minutes at the gym so I will go. Then once I get there I often feel I can do more.

    I will use your idea where food is concerned... thanks .

    No matter how many articles and ideas we read/digest, the fact is that each of us must try the different approaches to change to KNOW deep inside what works and what undermines us! Funny how 'even at this stage in life' we STILL keep learning about ourselves, huh? You tried. You learned. You just keep improving! And progressing forward into the ever-expanding journey!

    So no food is on a NO EAT list. I just do not over do with anything I eat.

    emoticon It's great that you are figuring out what's best for you. Weight loss is definitely an individual journey. What works for one person may not work for someone else as you have pointed out. Best wishes to you as you continue on your journey.

    All things in moderation is fine, especially if that's what works for you. I broke my no candy the other night and had a Snickers Bar, but it was just candy I was staying away from and did for some 40 some days. I think staying away from white flour and sugar is hard, I try and limit those things. Like you said you've lost 39 lbs., so you must be doing something right. Do what works for you.
