My Personal Progress Challenge

Voted Popular Blog Post: View All Popular Posts

I've set a personal challenge for myself, to see how much progress I can make by New Years Day. This is not about being perfect, or even about reaching a certain number on the scale. (I haven't weighed myself in over a year, and I have no plans to weigh myself again anytime soon.)

For me, this challenge is about just doing my best every day, and realizing that some days will be better than others. Its about realizing that there will be times when I will fall off the wagon...and knowing that I will pick myself right back up when that happens!

As of today, there are 103 days until New Years Day. Its exciting to imagine how much progress I can make in that time! When New Years Day rolls around, I won't need to make a resolution, because I'll already be doing the things I need to do! For the next 103 days (and beyond!) I plan to track my food and to eat as healthy as possible. I plan to exercise and to move more, sit less. I know the holidays will bring temptations, and there may be times when I give in to them. But as of today, I feel strong and determined, and I am just going to take it one day at a time.

If you'd like to join me and challenge yourself to see how much progress you can make in the next 103 days, great! I'd love to have some company on this journey! Drop in on my page from time to time to let me know how you're doing, and we will do this together!

Pixie, It would be an honor to join you! Count me in! I need to change up my exercise routine and really get back to tracking the food. I had an injury two weeks ago and it's been hard to get my long walks in everyday. So I need to find a different routine so I can continue with some exercise while I heal.
Love Ya,
Jane

My goal is 10-15 down by new years! It will be the lightest I can remember in over 10 years! I can do this! You can do it! Progress is progress no matter how small!

I've been with you since 110 days to go! I love your reminders to make the most of today rather than waiting for some tomorrow to start improving!

Excellent challenge. Such a good idea to try and focus on self improvement leading up to the new year, being conscious of our choices and decisions. I'm on board!

I'm going to be there with you Pixie

I do weigh my self and I would like to be 5 pounds lighter by Dec.11, 2013...That's my maintenance anniversary ...it will be 4 years I kept off 210 pounds....right now it is 205 pounds....5 pounds might not sound like a lot but it sure has been hard getting the 10 off I gained back.....

So together dear friend we will do our best each day.....eat clean, exercise, be kind to myself and get plenty of rest....
so 103 day from now I can have the biggest smile on my face

thank Pixie

Love your challenge, Pixie!! For me, it will be focusing on being more loving & forgiving to myself, setting some new workout goals & focusing on asking myself if I'm truly hungry before I eat.
Have a great day!!
