Yesterday I was a lot more mindful of what I felt like eating and came in just under 1500 for the day. No craziness after dinner and I stuck to a simple serving of Milanos as a treat and a high protein snack after work. I rolled a slice of cheese in a slice of turkey and toasted it until the cheese melted inside the turkey. Warm, yummy, not too many calories and it really hit the spot in that ravenous time between lunch and dinner. By the time 4pm rolls around I can eat a horse. Other than that, today will hopefully be a positive one. I will control what I eat, be mindful of my boredom and catch myself walking to the kitchen. I will deploy my new strategy of making a hot cup of tea instead of grabbing something to grze on. Take baby steps and allow myself to celebrate the positive the first time I make that tea without eating something.
The other baby step to take today is a walk after work. I don't have shoes with me or I'd do it for lunch again. After work, I will have my turkey roll snack to quiet my stomach and a glass of water, throw on my sneakers and head on out there for a 5K walk/jog. Then I'll feed the cats and pick up my brother from work because he likes to go to the bank on Thursday and I have stuff to pick up from my parents house.
This is a good plan for my day. I will stick with it and reach my goals. Tiny steps again building new momentum again.
