Side Effects Of What We Do In Secret .......

Thursday, September 19, 2013

Virtue is what we do in secret .......... when we think no one is looking.

This is when strength is put to the ultimate test .............. someone just baked chocolate chip cookies, warm out of the oven. emoticon and our senses have taken a hit! emoticon

These are things we may experience if we dip in and suddenly someone pops through the door! Our secret is out!!

The look says it all! The 'sheepish grin' ......... OR.......

Ugh! A sudden sense of embarrassment.....possibly coupled with shame......

It's to late to back out when you are wearing the evidence!

"Gee--that sure looks like the red frosting intended for the cupcakes!"

Don't try to play innocent ........ Your secret is out!

The paparazzi caught this one!! emoticon

And if you happen to be famous ........ there are no secrets!

You're sure ........... You only ate ONE???

When temptation comes knocking .... and you are hit with the fresh smell of baked cookies ........... Just ask yourself one Question ......... "Can I really stop at one and would it be worth it anyway for all the work I have done?"
Take a moment to VISUALIZE the picture of fat ........... gain or lose ........ a pound of fat is what is ............ It doesn't change or go away ........ Unless we say NO to those temptations and walk away. emoticon Of course if you are one who can eat just one cookie, more power to you! emoticon ......... emoticon

Oh so true! And it seems that lately I don't have that ability to walk away and say "no" to anything. I haven't gained any weight but haven't lost any either and my will power seems at an all time low. Thanks for the perspective!!

I'm even one of those people who can just eat one chip...but it still has to fit in my numbers for the day!

I've discovered though, that my cravings for greasy foods have almost completely gone away.

Thanks for the blog, and putting that pound of fat where I can see it! emoticon

The key is to 'ask' myself . . . . which requires thinking .
I've noticed that I get better results
when brain is engaged, . . . .
poor results while floating in a mindless fog.

I really don't think there will be a time when I'll pass that line
into the land where there's no more temptation . . .

We can do this! one day at a time

Great blog! I have switched to using a smaller bowl for ice cream. That way I can have it and not have to worry about eating to much of it later on. I don't want to deprive myself now only to have the craving for it at a later date and eat enough to ruin progress. All about balance.

"Who me?"
"Yes, you."
"Couldn't be!"

Great blog. I don't know if it is better to resist than have just a small portion. Because down the road we start to lose our resolve and end up eating a lot of something (cake for me) that we said we would not eat anymore.
