Forgotten shows of Adam West, born this day in 1928

LEGENDS OF THE SUPERHEROES (1979)
West reprised his role as Batman for this series of superhero specials. The second episode was a roast of superheroes. West, along with Bert Ward as Robin, performed a sketch about Robin wrecking the Batmobile.

LOOKWELL! (1991)
Cocreated by Conan O’Brien, this series starred West as a washed-up actor best known for playing TV cops who helped police solve real crimes, even though they kept asking him not to.

1775 (1992)
A historical comedy set during the Revolutionary War, Ryan O’Neal starred as an innkeeper. West played his brother-in-law, George Washington.
