Love of an older cat

Wednesday, September 18, 2013

Snaggles is allegedly 9 years old. He is very active and playful. He is so wonderful. He considers himself to be my cat. Bob is a friend. He wants me to play, feed him, hold him, and sit beside him. He is an awesome cat.

Don't hesitate visiting your local animal shelter. There are many great older cats. They are somewhat trained and quite loving.

My girl Katie was older (10) when I adopted her from another person. I am glad that I could love her for the 3 years I had before she got cancer. I have had a few kitties with health issues, so I didn't get to love them for long, but still I am so glad for the time I had with each one.

I have found an older cat is very easy to live with and love!

My family has been adopted by a little tiny black old lady cat who is missing half her teeth, so maybe she is a Snaggles, too! We call her Gypsy as I fully believe she visits several houses to eat and laze around. But she loves to lay in our driveway and we literally have to drive around her to get out of the yard. She is fearless!

And she loves to lay on top of my father's 1960 Belair! She loves, loves, loves that truck, and she is definitely his cat. However, I am the one that sometimes sneaks her into the house to cuddle with on the front porch where the dogs can't get to her. It's nice to see her walk around my father's train track and little engines and stuff. She looks like Godzilla!! HEHE Oh yeah, Dad doesn't know about that part yet.

But I love her and I love her missing teeth and she's so cuddly and purrs like a freight train. And I do believe she sleeps in the garage, so I have hidden blankets in there for her to lay on and stay cuddly.

Cats and dogs both. We don't know how old our cat is since he came to us after someone else tossed him out of a car.

keep preaching that. my last shelter cat was 7 when i adopted him. actually it was as a companion for a 16 year old cat who hated being alone, but he is just a little love. emoticon
