With all the lovely quotes I come across and the beautiful books I have read the common thread is that all we ever truly have is right now. One of my cousins was struggling with feeling happy today. I, too, have that struggle.
I instructed her to utilize the gratitude list. Listing the five things you can be grateful for in this very moment. I have so many things to be grateful for; many of us do.
I made a conscious decision to exercise today. I took a step to help with my financial issues...put an email out there...actually several. I have three awesome children who I am amazed at after all the events we have been through together...their resilience is astounding. I have a roof over my head...the same roof I have lived under since 2001...and even if I eventually have a different roof...it will be ok. I have this amazing community available to me online to motivate me on a daily basis giving me the opportunity to better myself.
I think it was Joseph Campbell who stated Take one step towards the Gods and they will take ten steps toward you (again my own paraphrasing). Peaks and valleys friends...
