once again the scale didn't show a loss. i should at least be losing water weight. the drastic reduction in calories from booze alone should make it move a little. so i reflected. what did i do wrong last week? i didn't eat horribly, but not great either since i was sick and didn't make a proper menu or shopping list. my water was intake, but not perfect every day.
so what do i need to work on: drink the correct amount of water daily (84.33oz minimum) and tracking.
monday i got a notebook out of the foodbank donation box at work* and wrote down everything i had eaten that day. then i input all that info into the spark people tracker. hello! i had eaten more than my alloted daily calories before i finished lunch! i eat the majority of my calories for snacks. i need to make my meals more nutritionally balanced so i'm not eating every 2 hours. and i need to have better snacks. so that's what i'll be working on the next couple days so i can do a proper shopping trip this weekend.
the good news is that i feel smaller. my pants are fitting better, so i know something is happening, the scale is just not reflecting it yet.
i'm using an ap on my phone to track my water. it's called hydro, it's free and easy to use. you input your weight and it tells you how much you should drink daily. you can also set whether it's hot out or you had a workout that requires more water. just a suggestion for anyone who may be interested.
*the office manager ordered the wrong notebooks so she put them in the food donation box. i wanted a pretty new notebook to track with. i don't feel badly for taking this since they were perfectly useable in the office even though they weren't what she wanted and who goes to the foodbank for a notebook?
