Who would have thought 10 pounds would mean that much? Yesterday I went to visit with our general practice clinic due to some kidney pain and continued abdominal pain (since June 5, 2012 even post surgery to 'fix' it) and when I was weighed I was exactly 10 pounds lighter than when I had been there in March of this year. That isn't a huge deal but it meant going from overweight to normal on the BMI chart, going from a 10/12 pants to comfortably being in a size 8, and having the nurse who always works with me tell me how nice I looked. :) I'm 5'9" tall so people never believe me when I tell them how much I weigh but I have been for a while overweight if not super overweight. I'm working my hardest to get down to the weight where my feet no longer get stress fractures and my legs and joints don't hurt all of the time. That is a goal I have to get to for my own sanity and for my long term health. My hubby, God love him, keeps telling me not to lose any more because he likes my 'curves' but dang it I need to do this for ME!
So just to be clear, 10 pounds for me right now is HUGE! :) I felt so accomplished yesterday when I snuck a peak at my chart and saw the note that said 'lost 10 pounds since March'. Talk about making a girl feel dang proud!
