Human Kindness!!!!

Wednesday, September 18, 2013

Just when you have lost faith in human kindness, someone who teaches at Kean Elementary in Wooster, Ohio forwarded the following letter:
This letter was sent to the Principal's office after the school had sponsored a luncheon for the elderly.
An old lady received a new radio at the lunch as a door prize and was writing to say thank you.
This story is a credit to all mankind. Forward to anyone you know who might need a lift today.

Dear Kean Elementary:

God bless you for the beautiful radio I won at your recent senior citizens luncheon. I am 84 years old and live at the Sprenger Home for the Aged.

All of my family has passed away. I am all alone now and it's nice to know that someone is thinking of me.
God bless you for your kindness to an old forgotten lady.

My roommate is 95 and has always had her own radio, but before I received one, she would never let me listen to hers,
even when she was napping.

The other day her radio fell off the nightstand and broke into a lot of pieces. It was awful and she was in tears.

Her distress over the broken radio touched me and I knew this was God's way of answering my prayers.

She asked if she could listen to mine, and I told her to kiss my a$$.

Thank you for that opportunity.

Sincerely,

Agnes Baker

Gotta love these senior citizens!!!! emoticon

I know just how the old lady felt.
Remember: Don 't make old People mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to piss us off.
Thanks, Mary Anne, Linda

Well the end of her letter sure got us! It wasn't what I expected, but I guess after years of dealing with someone's selfishness it might feel good to retaliate.

emoticon Not the ending I was expecting. I was feeling sorry for both old ladies, then "BAM" !! emoticon

I have to say that I find older people much kinder than the young. I guess it's from all the experience we have gained.

That is NOT what I was expecting. I know older people get really cranky about loaning stuff until it's borrowing time and that's different!!! emoticon

    Thank you for the laugh..
And she seemed like such a sweet little ol' lady.

I kinda have to agree with her tho'.

Nice day here... low 60's, looks warm but there is a touch of a nip in the air.
Take care... Love and Hugs
