Over this past weekend I broke away a little bit from my food plan, but luckily not too much. I had a small apple tart at a jewelry party, and then I made some food for my brothers friends who came over to watch football and totally gave in to some of my buffalo chicken dip because its SO GOOD. Why do the best things have to contain cream cheese? Anyway, both things were honestly a few bites each and I was happy it didn't cause me to go overboard. However, one thing I had really slid back on was drinking water. The first week and a half I was a water drinking machine, but the directions on my food plan said I could have crystal light or diet soda in moderation. The key of course, is moderation and at the end of last week and through the weekend it started to turn into way more often than water. I stepped on the scale a few days after my recent weight loss and had gone up a slight bit. I WAS NOT HAVING THAT. I was happy to find that I wasn't discouraged at all, I was determined. Since then I have been drinking exclusively water, and if I add any of those other drinks back it will have to be with strings attached such as only one per day. I also have plans to get back to the gym more this week, because although I was still going it was less than I had been when I started.
It's pretty cool to finally be having these feelings of determination and finding some discipline in myself. Its so easy to not realize when things start creeping away from you until the old habits are back and then you give up. I'm happy I could identify and change the things that needed to change. And I already feel so much better in the past few days after switching back to all water. It makes a big difference.
