Yesterday was the palm frond relay race. But seriously, I tracked the collection of s'chach for our sukkah as fitness minutes under Spark's "farmwork: general" heading. Hilarious.
This is how my day went: drop off wife at work; drive in rush hour traffic to phoenix to pick up s'chach (6-foot palm branches are kind of heavy!); help rabbi load his van with s'chach; eat lunch at the shul; drop off s'chach by our sukkah; pick up wife from work; lay the s'chach on the roof of the sukkah with the help of wife, friend, and a ladder; and finally drop off the extra s'chach at rabbi's house.
All this in 99 degree heat. Gotta love Arizona at Sukkos time.
