Chptr 12, Day 25

Wednesday, September 18, 2013

The morning after. Destructive eating behavior. Yesterday, though calories were higher than I wanted, I was managing. I had my plan in hand. Dinner was a success. The kitchen was closed.

Knock, knock. Who's there? Homemade Apple Crisp (still warm from the oven) and a tub of vanilla ice cream, and DS3 and GF. GF made DH a special treat for his birthday. With hardly a blink, half of an 8x8 pan of it was already gone, with just DH and I eating it.

Unexpected surprises. Boy, I didn't handle that one well at all. To make matters worse, figuring the day was wrecked anyway, I just kept on snacking.

Remorse. Even before I revised yesterday's food tracking. Ouch. Double remorse.

One can not let one's guard done. EVER. A treat can always be lurking behind a hidden door.

Nothing to do but forget about it and move on. I'll probably have another lackluster week, from two days of bad behavior this week. Time to smarten up and protect my progress like a mother bear carefully watching over her cubs.

I'm accountable, for mostly good behaviors, some less good.
I'm meeting my regular exercise goal
I'm achieving the extra exercise goal thus far: Leslie Sansone 30 Day Challenge of 30 minutes a day....yes, I am only through Day 3, but it has been really hard to meet this challenge

Get back on track
LS 30 min, 30 day callenge
Client work
Alter DH sleeve length on his suit (still procrastinating.....)

Wishing you a healthy and fit day, without detours or pitfalls.

LS 30 min of cardio, done emoticon
Walked 4.2 miles emoticon
Food Plan still in tact!

1,351 total calories

    This sure resonates with me.
I think that the trick is in recognizing, acknowledging, putting aside and then moving on. Good luck! emoticon

We all have these moments. What we need to learn is we can have the treat and stay in calorie range if we watch our portions, (that's the hard part) especially when it's so fresh and good. The good thing is you own up to it and stay accountable for it all and that is great, I think that does help us get back on track. So now you have a new day, clean slate in front of you to make this a better day. We just have to keep working at, you know emoticon

You are doing great even with the extra calories yesterday. Today is a new day. emoticon My weakness yesterday was homemade buttermilk pie. Who knew it was SO good and had a whole stick of butter per pie!
