Hey friends! I have been on this journey for years now...on and off...not giving up!

I really need to know from people who have managed to decrease their body fat and increase their muscle......what r the key things they did and what difference say saw?

    Not the expert, but I'm in the best shape with 2 days ST, 3 days cardio (swim and walk) and 2 days balance (tai chi). Works for me to change the routine with the seasons.

    I started Intermittant Fasting, starting with the 5:2 fast diet, which is very flexible, and moving on after six months and 22lbs, to Alternate Day Fasting. (There are Spark groups for both, the 5:2 group is very active.) I also made sure that on my fasting days I did really quite intense workouts, involving both ST, like body conditioning, and cardio, like karate. My body fat% has gone from 48% back in March, to 37% now, while my muscle% has hardly changed. I do however now have visible muscles, especially in my arms and shoulders.

    Diet is key...I'm transitioning to a vegetarian build muscle, I love weight can buy weights and dvd...

    You have to take care of the diet! That is a must! I know a big thing is people dont necessarily want to build a lot of muscle but you do need to build some because muscle burns more calories! Just don't give up!

    Circuit training (cardio and strength) most effective workout. If you want to workout at home, there are many great workouts free on YouTube. I am doing a fall challenge on Jessica Smith's YouTube channel. It's all free and she posts weekly workouts or you can choose your own.
If you're looking for a gym, Curves is excellent. All women and has circuit training--cardio and strength and you get a great workout in 30 minutes.
