Banner Day! Construction permit in window. HOA approval too!

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

The contractor did not show up this morning. I went for my walk, came back, ran up to the store and still no contractor. Apparently he's not been feeling too well-arthritis kicking up and he has to finish another job. But he did get here around 2:50 with my building permit, I took a picture of it and e-mailed it to the HOA office. Tony, the contractor, had two of his guys unload some tools, and cut down a tree that was in the way of Erik's soon to be bathroom and cut back my Crape Myrtle. Erik called out "telephone" so I ran in and grabbed the house phone, a member of the HOA board was calling to ask if he and another board member could come by to discuss the plans for my addition at 4 or 4:30. I said 4:30 then went and told Tony. They cleared up some of the mess and left. My back yard is different, but the HOA board members came, gave me clearance for the building and suggested putting a sidewalk in so Erik could get to the drive way on the side of the house safely.
All in all a Banner day! Oh and I got my 10,000 steps in today. Tomorrow, I'll go trim another Crape Myrtle and put the branches with the other stuff for them to haul off for me with their mess. That'll earn me some steps too. Woohoo.
God is good!

Wonderful news!! I assume the project has started now. How is it going? There are always decisions to be made along the way of a project. Does that mean you are sticking close to home most of the time?

Things are finally coming together!!! Glad to hear. Will the sidewalk be much of an issue to get done? Hope that things go smoothly and everything is done soon. Not only exciting for Erik but also for you.
