Another Reason To Hate My Scale a.k.a. Scale Goblins.

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

It was official weigh in day for that Biggest Loser challenge. I stepped on yesterday meaning to take the photo of the numbers, and saw 107.8 kilos. Then it switched off before I could get the camera focused to take a photo, so I mumbled and put everything away.

So I decide to be good and take care of it today so I could post the numbers. Step on...see 104 kilos. YAY!! Even gave me that same number twice in a row so I thought "I'll take it!" I was feeling mighty good.

Not ONE HOUR later, I got the camera ready, climbed on the scale....weighed 108.8 kilos. Curses. Stepped on again, 107.6.

Goblins, or time for a new battery?

My stupid scale does the same thing! If I move gives me a different number. Funny thing is that I think it comes from Australia. Go figure! lol!

Just remember that food and water will affect the weight too. Plus we never weight the same every day with all the different foods that we eat. Try weight just once a week or even every two weeks.

Mine is different depending on what particular inches of the floor its sitting on. I try to only take the first one... unless it shows a gain and then I refuse to accept it, so I'll move it a little to the right and check again. Because I'm crazy.

emoticon emoticon Mine do exactly the same. I also only weigh myself for the BLC, the rest of the time the scales reside without their batteries in a box under the bed. Yesterday, the day before weigh in day, I was 152.2lbs. Today, the one that matters, 155.5 lbs! emoticon NSV's mean a lot more, but of course you can't track those, and poor ol' BLC Admin, need to see where we are! Take it tongue in cheek, and don't worry as long as the overall trend is downwards, all of us on BLC know what a blunt tool it is, but unfortunately it's the only one that they've got.

My scales do the same .. That's why I don't weigh except for the challenges ..I think to be honest our bodies are changing all the time .. We could be experiencing water retention, or we need to go to the toilet. Could also the time of day . There are lots of reasons as to why our scales show different readings ..don't get discouraged ..
Just keep pushing ...

I suspect tile floors kept our scale unbalanced - it never showed the same number twice! It was like a slot machine!

    most scales are BROKEN! emoticon

but I have the same problem with mine. I usually go for the best of three tries, then try to stay away from the blasted thing so I don't make it worse!

if you feel better then you are doing well, sometimes it takes the scale a little to get the idea!

wow, and I'm fussing about my scales as aren't digital and get kicked around so it's a pain to set it correctly...mine just refuses to move at all...think I'm just ready to throw it out completely!

Hope you have better luck next go around, we'll get there just stay focused.
