Fri Aug 23, 2013, the company had a team building lunch. Usually, they had Pizza Hut which I don't really care for. But to my surprise, they took out a local wood fired pizza which was even better than my favorite Domino's. Even bigger surprise was the amount of left over. I secured 1 1/2 large pizza for myself, then found two large trays of partially eaten cakes in the fridge. These are commercial size, about 18x12 inches. Combined the two trays yielded about 3/4 of the the full tray.
Being an exercise person, I've never counted calories not for a single day in my whole life. It's always All-You-Can-Eat with me. The only reason I would do a juice fast, it's for health reasons. Never for weight loss as I believe that I could exercise my way out of anything.
Anyway, since I've been on all you can eat water melon and pizza weekends for the summer, this is like a prize finding for me with all the goodies. So push the watermelon to the side, as I have a mission to accomplish here. It's going to be an all you can eat, pizza and cakes weekend.
The cakes were really good. Much better than I thought especially the chocolate even the white. Mind you, I didn't eat the icing that is like white thick piece of fat with sugar. I scraped them off. It took the whole weekend to eat all the cakes and pizza, but I had a lot of fun. After the first day, I didn't gain any weight. It took until after I finished everything and on Monday morning I think I gained about 4-5 lbs. But it took a good 3 days of eating to get there. I lost the weight gain a few days later by going back to my normal food.
I had my fun, but my relationship with concentrated carbohydrates took a turn after I read the book, TurboCharged. Would I eat these again? Of course, but it'll never be like an innocent weekend in Aug where it was all fun and excitement.
