Schnikeys this has been some week already!!

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

I have received a civil summons over property I lost in my first divorce that they want me to pay over $70,000 for! I thank the man above for giving me brains enough to take care of myself and file bankruptcy so I wouldn't be responsible for any of the $200,000 worth of debt that--yes we had racked up, but he got everything--so that I could start over with a clean slate.

And this morning my oldest daughter gave me a lecture on how I should treat my grandchildren (none of them are hers she has none) when I am trying to help them! emoticon My grandson and I were working on his homework and he was tired and cranky and having a fit because I wouldn't tell him the answers. And I told him if he wasn't going to help himself then I wasn't helping him either! But if he wanted to work it out with me I would help him. Well wa wa wa emoticon and so I started to leave and he was crying "no help me help me". We finally got it done also! But the daughter seems to think I should have just walked away and not done anything. My question was "how is he supposed to learn if you don't help him?" and her answer "just leave him alone to do it" emoticon . Well it was spelling words and he didn't know what the word was and he had to use it in a sentence. I was trying to get him to sound it out so he would know the word and he wanted me to just tell him. The final ending--he sounded it out and he wrote a sentence for it! Grandma is way more stubborn than he is!! emoticon

So I guess the bottom line is--with both scenarios was I wrong?? emoticon

Friday cannot get here soon enough!! emoticon Oregon coast here I come!! emoticon

I think you handled things just the right way.. YOU have to do it the best way you know how.. and if you don't help your right how do they learn.. You weren't giving the answers but skills to help him in the future ..

Enjoy the Coast !!

Hey, you handled it well. The Grandson needs to learn that its not just about the answer, but about how to work through a problem. As for your daughter, use her advice the next time she is having trouble and needs help. emoticon
