Day 1 at the Gym

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

Today was my first day at the gym. I completed half of Cardio Blast. It's very fast pace and a lot of jogging, stepping, jumping rope, ect... My ear started to clog up and I couldn't hear anything. I tried to keep going but that feeling made me dizzy and sick feeling. I completed till the half way mark of thirty minutes and then went and road this bike that I could race my friend on. It has games and everything. I could really feel it, not like other stationary bikes I've ridden before. We chose the redwoods. Tomorrow is my first session with the trainer. So I'll be having two weigh-ins tomorrow. I like to weight myself in the morning for SP - to keep it at the same time of the day.

Feeling pretty wore out now. Should sign on to listen to my lecture for class.

Day 1 down...a lifetime to go! emoticon Happy to hear all went well for your first day at the gym (apart from the ear clogging). Mine do this during kickboxing sometimes. It's the most frustrating feeling, like you have gone up in altitude and can't pop your ears. Hopefully you don't experience that much, especially where it makes you dizzy. My guess is you threw your equilibrium off...that's usually what causes mine, if I squat too quickly, or if we're doing speed combos getting our heart rates up. Listen to your body and do what you are comfortable with as you get started. And always remember...the workouts NEVER get easier...YOU just get BETTER!! emoticon

I would like to go to the gym more but I homeschool my 3 boys during the day and then cook dinner and by the time we are done eating the gym is closed so I go to the track and run at night... I wish we had a 24 hour gym :(
