This isn't my first rodeo, but it seems that I have a few lessons that I need to re-learn since my last go at Weight Watchers 5 years ago. Tomorrow is weigh-in day, when I'll see if I had a successful first week, but here's a recap of some things I'd like to remember as I continue:
I feel better when I exercise. Sometimes it's hard to make time for it, but I always feel better when I do. Make it a priority.
I also feel better when I drink lots of water. It's not that I was drinking too many calories on other drinks...just that I was probably dehydrated the majority of the time.
Don't use foil as separators when freezing things. It doesn't come loose. Black bean burgers ruined :-(
Buffets = Point overload. I know there's a good way to control yourself at a buffet...but the sushi/Japanese buffet got the best of me this weekend. Thank goodness for Weekly Points.
Listen to your hunger signals. I ended up with a horrible headache Friday because I didn't have a snack after an intense workout, trying to save my points for dinner at a restaurant. I knew I was hungry, but thought I could wait. I kept my food in control at dinner, but my body let me know that I had waited too long. One of the worst headaches ever.
