I'm trying to keep my mind busy today so here goes another "taste buds" changing since SP.
I really like popcorn as a snack. I used to eat a big bowl of buttered popcorn without any thought what so ever. Than I made popcorn eating a "mindful" eating experience. I made a smaller bowl of those kernels and ate one at a time. I also liked "trio" popcorn (plain, cheese and carmel mixed together). I found a place that bagged this heavenly concoction in single servings, so before our vacation I picked up a few bags just in case I needed a crunchy snack. Went on the trip with 5 bags, came home with 4. Since than ate one more (took 2 days). Somehow this is no longer appealing. Who would have thought this was possible? Not me.....
Over the weekend (because of fall like weather) I decided to bake. Now, I am not a baker. The Pillsbury dough boy and I have been friends for years. I came across a red velvet bundt cake mix and because DH and I really like red velvet cake, I decided to give it a try. Smelled yummy, looked like a picture perfect bundt cake. We both tried a small piece. Neither of us were impressed and probably wouldn't be eating any more. Here's my sweet eating, meat and potato man saying no to more cake. I think my new healthier eating habits are rubbing off on him. LOL. I have never been a picky eater, especially when it came to sweets, but now I can say if it's not exceptional I won't be eating it.
