Day 3 - Full of Optimism

Monday, September 16, 2013

It's Zumba Monday! I'm still pouting because my instructor is quitting after November, but I intend to take advantage of the time that's left. My thighs are sore from the two days of WATP dvds. Looking forward to my body bouncing back and building some endurance.

I had a pretty clean eating day. My version of clean might not be yours, but it's a big improvement for me. For breakfast, I had two slices of whole wheat with 3 egg whites and a slice of provolone.

Lunch was a cup of grapes, 2 cups of romaine, 1/2 cup of 2% cottage cheese, 1 tablespoon of California French dressing.

For dinner, I made shrimp-okra gumbo with breaded mushrooms. For a snack, I had a cup of canteloupe.

I'm doing this! Day 3 is in the bag! Go, go, go!!!

P.S. I'm feeling a lot better about my daughter's engagement. She hasn't dated much, which bothered me. I wanted her to live and be her own person for awhile. But she's always been her own person. I'n just being Mom, trying to pre-empt any regrets she'll ever have. But I can't mourn her life before she even lives it.

First, congratulations on your daughter's engagement. On your clean eating, the foods you ate define clean food. emoticon

That sounds like clean eating to me! Great job! And that's great about your daughter. I'm sure that will help open up communication even further as you guys make plans for the wedding.
