And it's Monday again...

Well, I don't feel much like I got a weekend - which I was looking forward to. emoticon

Woke up Saturday with crazy ear pain and so dizzy I could barely stand up... so, there went my exercise streak. At least I had worked out the other 6 days of the week, so it was ok. Got in very few steps (just over 3K) for the day and spent most of it on the couch - letting the kids watch movies and eat cereal. emoticon

Sunday was better, though even now I have ear pressure. Had to get normal things done though - like grocery shopping and laundry. My house is still a disaster... and DH comes home in 2 days. Oh well - he's seen it a disaster before and the addition of all of his grimy hunting gear isn't going to make it any cleaner! lol

I did get in my treadmill yesterday and today.

Finished my 24 day challenge - though ate Ramen etc, so my sodium was high. But, I lost 5.2pounds and more than 5 inches. Not fabulous, but better than most 24 day periods, so I won't complain!

Started reading Bob Harpers "The Skinny Rules" today - since that's what my workout buddy has been going by... so far, I like the reasoning and the rules shouldn't be too hard (so far)...

Okay... that's my story today. Nothing exciting - another day... but I'm on plan and, thanks to not eating much for 2 days, don't have much appetite. I mainly want hot liquids (throat hurts a bit too)...

    Thanks everyone - I AM happy about the 5 pounds, honestly - and my weight went down again today! YEA. The 24 day challenge is by Advocare (there is a Spark group here too) - including nutritional supplements and an eating/exercise plan. I didn't do the exercise plan, but I did exercise. And I cheated (a lot) on the eating plan... but it was better than "normal", so it made a dent!
    Changelife - DH gets home tomorrow (YEA!) and I'll be able to get to the gym again 2 out of 3 days (he works 24 hour shifts, so I'll have to miss those days).

    5.2 pounds is great!!! Great Job! Can you workout when your husband gets home at the gym again in the mornings?

    Are you kidding me, 5.2 lbs and more than five inches gone not a big deal??? I think that is awesome, I'm very impressed!

    Aw, it sucks that you're not feeling well! Congrats on the 24 day challenge, though, that's awesome! What kind of challenge was it? Was it something here on SP?

    Love "The Skinny Rules" book. Just no-nonsense "get it done" advice! Some of the rules are hard, but they work if you stick with them on most days. I like what he has to say about sugar throughout his book and I think he's right: the more we keep that sugar taste in our mouth (through whatever -- desserts, diet sodas, sugar in coffee, etc.), the more we want it. I have decreased added sugars in my foods and have found my sugar cravings have greatly decreased too. I NEVER thought I would give up sugar in my coffee but it really wasn't that difficult and now I don't even miss it.
