It's a great feeling to be back on track today. I've read everything I can get my hands on about the Chris Powell (Extreme Weight Loss Show) carb cycling plan on the internet. I've ordered his new book from Amazon, but it doesn't come out in hard copy until the end of the month. Regardless, I'm taking what I've learned and putting it into action even if I don't have every detail just right. I can always fine tune later. I didn't want to wait to start. I took out my old spreadsheet that tracks my calorie deficit, and I'm striving for a deficit of a 1000 calories per day. Which of course means I need to exercise my touché off!
I'm wearing some new clothes today, not the size I wanted to be at this time, but it does feel nice to have something new to wear. At spin class this morning the instructor announced there are 255 days till summer. And I think someone else mentioned there are 105 days until New Years. Both are good numbers to focus on that there is enough time to see a sizable change, which is hopeful!
I have reset my tracker and am working on some goals and honestly it just feels very nice to be eating a well rounded diet again and to have enough energy to work out. I know I must have been feeling pretty desperate to do those HCG drops. Now it's time to think about reasonable goals and set my sights on those. I would love to be at goal weight by the wedding, but more over I want to be healthy at the wedding, and this plan is much better fit for that.
A couple of times I have gotten a fleeting feeling of what it's like to run non stop on the treadmill, while I've just been thinking about it. I can't wait to feel that again. Until then I will be doing run/walk intervals, but it's nice to remember what it feels like to be at a different level fitness wise and know with hard work I will get there again!
