I Can Walk

Monday, September 16, 2013

I'm late writing about it, but I went to the Orthopedic doctor last Wednesday and my knee is healing well. I can walk with a little support and I went from using both crutches for support to just one by Saturday. I can walk pretty well, now. emoticon

My blood pressure was 128/82 on Wednesday which is a marked improvement. I'm really pleased with my progress. My weight is slowly going down which is great seeing as I couldn't walk until the past week. I also thought I might be losing inches. I can see that the fat around my belly isn't as great as it was. My waist is staying the same, but my hips have lost 2 1/2 inches so I'm really pleased. emoticon emoticon

I turned 59 on Thursday and my mother, sister and I went out to lunch on Saturday. I've been wanting a steak so I had a 6oz sirloin with a baked sweet potato. So good and it was nice for all of us to get out together. Now that I can walk, it will be a lot easier to visit my mother, again. My brother sent me some roses and they are really pretty. He lives in the Philippines now and he's always been pretty thoughtful. He sent my mother flowers for her birthday, but this is the first time he sent me anything. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
